What is the Circle Of Knowledge Blog?

What if 2 Libraries in 2 different cities created a virtual discussion and sharing community? What if these 2 libraries talked about what life is like for them, the things they learn from their communities each day, their joys and trials and bits of wisdom? What if Library Staff Members and our communities celebrated the importance of libraries in a big way during National Library Week–but also before and after? The answer to these questions (and many more, we hope) is “The Circle of Knowledge Blog.”

The Two Library Systems: The Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County in Charlotte, North Carolina and New York Public Library in New York City, NY.

The Impetus: The Scholastic Library Publishing National Library Week Grant in support of The Campaign for America’s Libraries.

  1. Congradulations on winning the award. What a cool project! I have reviewed many of the Flicker Photos- a true picture of the staff, children and events that make our library wonderful!
